I don't think Noah really belongs on that list. Gerry McNamara deserves a spot there, in my opinion. Anyone who can single-handedly win a Big East Tourney is pretty good in my book.

I voted Jay Williams.
For no other reason than I remember watching him play and saying "he is the best college basketball player I've ever seen". lol

It's a tough call though and that's not even including a bunch of other players that probably could have been on the list. My next two would probably be Cleaves than Tyler Hanshoweveryouspellit.

I can't stand him, but this should be Hansbrough in a landslide. Not only best of the decade, but maybe the best in ACC history.

That list blows....and from what decade? Why isn't Durant, Griffin, Collison......amongst others on that list? Most players are one and done now, so it really isn't a fair comparison for the players with more than 1 year anyway.

durant was one and done and didnt do **** in the tourney

the horns had a much better seed AFTER he left also and were just better
griffen and battier were the last two i left out (since the poll can only have 10)

Oh yeah, I voted for Redick by the way. I've never seen a better shooter in my life.

Dwayne Wade almost single-handedly made the Final 4 with Marquette. Deiner had one good game, I think, but Wade was unstoppable for most of his college career.

Hansbrough was not that good, he got half of his points gift wrapped from the refs. Redick and J-Will were the two best of the decade by far in the ACC.

I think it is fair if you are basing it on college career and accomplishments - which is how I took it.
The one and done players may be better players, but they make the choice to go pro and shorten their college career.

The players you listed could be added, but I think almost everyone the OP listed is legit too......saw some subjective lists of the top 10 players of the decade and it had pretty much a combo of who you had listed and the OP - a couple not named, I think one was T.J. Ford.

I can't see how the heck you can make a list like this without LeBron on it! (joking of course)

I voted JJ Redick, but I'm a Duke fan so I'm a little biased.

Yeah, if you have Melo on there you have to have Durant on there. Melo was one and done just like Durant. Melo lead Syracuse to the Championship but he had a good group around him. Durant became the only player in NCAA history to win the Naismith as a freshman if I am not mistaken. And didn't he lead Texas to the Big-12 Championship? As for Battier, he went to the championship game in 1999 and won the championship in 2001 while also winning every player of the year award possible. So I don't see how you leave either of those two off. Same for DWade, who lead to Marquette to their first and only Final Four in forever (may be overstating that one a little). Don't forget about Jameer Nelson, Juan Dixon or Emeka Okafor either. All of those guys should be ahead of Adam Morrison, who did squat in the tourney

J-WIll won the award in 2002. I voted for Redick but I don't know why, J-Will was easily a better player and is the best Duke player ever. Maybe give Redick the 4 year edge. He also has the advantage of playing college more recently.

Picked Ben Gorden but the list is missing some people. I would have picked Blake Griffin or Hollis Price.

i think there's just too much going on here.

how about a 'best one and done of the decade' poll for your Carmelo, Durant, Wall types...
then a 'best four-year player of the decade' for your Battier, Redick and Hansblow.
or even a 'best early entry player of the decade' for a vast majority of the best players...

i just think any legit four-year starter is bound to trump the likes of Durant and Wade simply by having played more.

i dont even think some of these one and done or very early entry guys, save for maybe Carmelo, would even make the college bball hall of fime.
