Picked this up on ebay. I couldn't pass up a Topps contract extension that Cruz signed 4 months before I started collecting him:

Oh yeah, almost forgot. My Opening Day tickets came too! Going to be my first Red Sox Opening Day and first Red Sox vs. Yankees game. April can't come fast enough!

Glad it could FINALLY make it in to a Cruz collection. I've been sitting on that darn thing for 3 years.

Nice array of inserts. Is the Cruz Longevity the 1/1 (1/50)? I remember running around Targets in Omaha when I was college buying up the blaster boxes since they were selling for about $50 each.

Unfortunately no. I was hoping it might have been but then saw that Burbank was the seller. Figured they would know about the first being a 1/1.

I remember that set being nuts too. Everyone going after some kids named JD Drew and Troy Glaus while McGwire and Soda chased history. That was a sweet summer.
