I got owned, not even scan worthy. I decided to buy a box of these just to see if I could get lucky with Adrian or Calvin, this is only my second box break of Football and boy was it a bad one.

Numbered Rookies:
Calvin Johnson crusade /1000
Antwan Barnes, Kenny Boss, and Danny Ware /999
Clifton Dawson /199
Demarcus "tank" Tyler /25

The Not so Hits:
Kenny Irons crusade Jersey /250
Edgerrin James Jersey /250
Ladainian Tomlinson Jersey /250

All one colored and my rookie auto was a redemption card that was supposed to be redeemed by 6/1/2009 lol. Any ideas on what would happen if I sent in the redemption anyways with a letter explaining that I just got the box, would I still get something in return, or am I just SOL regardless?

YES! The Rookie Auto I've always wanted. Maybe they will send me something better in return. (Wishful thinking)

You never know - it's a 2007 redemption, so they may send you some sort of replacement that's a little more... um, un-bad.

ask them if you could get a Jordan Kent Emerald in place of it. Kent was a redemption as well and I have NEVER seen an emerald in either Longevity or Plain R&S. I have both 1/1's and all other parallels except those two.

If you do that, I'll gladly buy it :)

::facepalm::

The entitelment of people kills me.

This is no different than saying "I bought a 2001 Upper Deck box and got a redemption in it. It states the expiration date was 6/16/2002. Should I send it to UD to see if they can fulfill it with a note that says I just bought this 10 year old product yesterday?

The box was 70 dollars after tax so no big deal. I decided not to send it in anyways because it's not worth my time for that card. I was merely asking. But say I do buy a product from 01 and it runs me 200+ for a box and I get a redemption of a card that is supposed to be in my box you're damn right I'm sending it in because I spent MY hard earned money buying THEIR product whether it be 2010 or 2001. You are entitled that redemption either way that's why it's there and that's why it's honored by the company. I'm sure one card isn't too much of a problem for them considering their profit.

Might as well send it in. Better than an expired redemption lying around. I know Playoff used to honor expired cards but I don't know if Panini is any different.

This - the worst thing that can happen is you're out the cost of a stamp. Best thing is they can't fulfill that card and send you something much better.
