@Philip J. Fry - the base are all yours for free - provided they are not serial numbered. I tend to use serial # stuff for trades


Hopefully folks looked at the BOX ODDS pic above and also took some time to look up the set at their choice of online website today. As I stated in my slab thread I believe numerous websites have erroneous information regarding this set

The first site had had to contact was COMC- checkoutmycards.com
While looking for some miscellaneous base inserts that I could knock out of the way, I noticed the below when I went and ran the set

Why was this an issue ? Because as the pack odds plainly state on the side of that box
THE BASE SERIES IS NOT NUMBERED FOR THE PRESS CLIPPINGS

Only the Dual series is numbered ( to 250) for the Press Clippings

So I shot over an email about it- and look at their reply. So I spent half an hour blasting through 70+ item errors and reported every last card with the descriptions that were inaccurate. Just so I can start fixing what I believe is erroneous info online, so no one gets misled about buying cards that are not actually errors

After I opened up the box, I went to get additional set info from Beckett, SCD and baseballcardpedia a few trusty sources of set info

I noticed this blurb on baseballcardpedia , which is normally very accurate- and noticed it was bad info right away
This red highlighted area is false- and I knew this before I opened this box today because I busted cases of this stuff years ago and remember how it was packaged

Just like 2001 Absolute- the inserted boxes are SEALED and you can plainly see the black seal, and when we get inside I believe further proof because if I remember well the top and bottom were seals also ( but let's wait and see)

SO- their error- then pictorial proof that these sets are indeed sealed.
baseballcardpedia - I haven't had time to report their errors to them, but if you know Chris ,Rodney or whomever is running it ,can you tell them and refer to my post ??

I can tell you, of the five possible inserted sealed boxes, I can use 4 of them
Only insert box that will suck royally if I pull it is the Rising Stars

I have card needs in the other 4 sets for Clemens and Garciaparra

Which as you can plainly see- seals on top and the bottom
baseballcardpedia info is inaccurate so hopefully it can get fixed

I scratched the side of the box sadly when my scissors fell on it but it is staying sealed if anyone needs let me know pay me shipping its yours
