Hello I am new to the boards and was told on SportsCollectors.net that this board was a really good board and would be able to help me out with my questions.

I have this Cal Ripken card and can not find it listed in any book or a cal ripken card checklist on beckett. It says 98 Pacific on the back. It is #1

Pretty sure it was a commemorative card issued through one of the shop at home stations.

It came as one of the 2 extra insert cards in the 1998 Pacific Home Run History set. It's a 70 (72 if you count the extra McGwire and Ripken) card set commemorating the sosa/mcgwire HR race.

Here's half the set (I didn't scan the Sosa half):

The ripken is the twin insert of the card labeled:

1998 Pacific Home Run History 1998 Home Run Champion 1 -- die cut

Thanks for the help. Beckett has it labled as Home Run History #HRC2 and that threw me off cause I didn't know it had anything to do with Home Run History. Any idea on the value?
