sure it looks great but my first thought is they need offense from the 3 4 and 5 guys. Z and Andy are the worst 4 and 5 on a competitive team in the league IMO.

Link? What was all involved.
Love seeing some big deals go down!

It was announced on ESPN about 20-30 mins ago. Don't have a link handy, though.

It was Shaq for:
Sasha Pavlovic (sp?)
Ben Wallance
09 2nd round pick (49th, I believe)
$500k

Nice move for the Cavs. Didn't give up anything and Shaq is off the books after this season. He did play pretty well last season. Rules out the Yao talk now. Although I wouldn't even want him with his broken foot that isn't healing. Yao could be pretty much done with all his foot problems.

Hey Shaq, tell me how getting your a** traded again tastes.

Seems like a good move and a definite upgrade of course. Cleveland probably has that something they were missing to get over the hump, and I think they got it for less than what Shaq is worth. In Shaq's mind, they got it for a minute fraction of what he's worth.

Quite possibly the best basketball story since the Finals! Shaq found out about his trade from Twitter. That's gotta suck

Another day, another weird Twitter story. Tonight the news broke that NBA superstar Shaquille O'Neal was being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Huge news, but what's humorous is that apparently Shaq found out he was traded on Twitter.

Look at Shaq's last few tweets. Several minutes ago he tweeted out "I didn't hear dat yet" in response to this tweet, "is it true u a CLEVELAND CAVALIER." A few minutes later someone sent Shaq the following tweet, "U CLEVELAND BOUND¿shaq found out he was traded thru twitter! lmao¿.hahahaaaaaa" Shaq's response? "I kno right."

He went silent after that. Hopefully his agent called him to tell him the news. Then I fully expect a rush of good rush of tweets name-dropping LeBron James. The trade was rumored to be going down during the regular season, so I'm happy for the big guy that it got done. As well as for my hometown Cleveland Cavs.

Shaq is one of the most popular Twitter users with nearly 1.4 million followers.

This looks to be yet another example of Twitter being used to break news. Albeit much, much less substantial than what is going on in Iran.

I like the move for the Cavs. They didn't really give alot up and he will help for sure...But let's not forget, the main reason why the Cavs lost is because they couldn't stop thier 3 point shooting. They need to get at least 1 player who can guard these big outside shooters like Lewis,Hedo!

They won't go anywhere without a good wing. I'm one of the few that thinks they could win without a dominant center if they had a wing with good size. Their best offensive lineup was Lebron, Delonte, Williams, Gibson and Z. That's three guys under 6'4. Delonte was guarding Turkoglu all series! You just can't win like that, they are an easy matchup for anyone.

This will get the Cavs no further than it did this last season. I like Shaq and hope the best for him but he will not win a title with the Cav's. They are still a one man team.
