I highly doubt Rasmus gets his wish, especially after Ludwick was shipped out to S.D.

Sounds like he and LaRussa don't get along for whatever reasons. There's no way they move him though, he's their prized possession. Home grown and everything.

Typical LaRussa junk- bench the better, younger player in favor of the AAA veteran who isn't as good. It's really quite shameful how he has done Rasmus this year and it has hurt the team in the process.

So who is the bigger tool? Rasmus or Larussa? I would guess both.

Wouldn't you want to be traded to a different team if your manager benched you simply because you don't get along, even if you were the best player?

So, LaRussa threatens to option a 23 y/o stud that was on pace to hit .271 w/ 27 HR's and 72 RBI to Triple-A???

LaRussa is a terrible manager. I really hope he is not the Cardinals manager in 2011.

He's been pissing players off since Ozzie. Ozzie, Drew, Rolen, Pujols, Rasmus.......bye bye tony!

He has on 2 differant occasions asked for a trade and has stated that he doesn't like Playing in St.Louis.Albert Pujols stated that if its true, then he needs to go,if Pujols speaks the Cardinals will listen!

It's no secret that Rasmus doesn't get along with St. Louis. Remember his dad on scout.com in 2008 ripping TR to shreads and blaming him for his son's struggles in 2008. My prediction is that Rasmus is shipped out and you know who will get him. The Redsox, whom don't have a future CF, Ellsbury is on the block. Ellsbury and Doubront for Rasmus is what I predict..

Was on pace for? Coulda, woulda, shoulda.....He didn't and isn't playing as well as many expected. If he is that big of baby and has little respect for a HOF manager, then get rid of him. He is NOT the player that some on this board wish he was anyways.

Colby is a ********* too for requesting a trade, who does he think he is Manny Ramirez. Man up and play for the team that drafted you. Quit crying. Exactly why I never collected him, he looks like a ******.

TLR uses his match-ups all the time, but he doesn't realize that by using those match-ups, he takes players out of their grooves, and pisses them off in the process.

~ "Oh, we're facing a lefty today. Time to put in Randy Winn over Colby." ~

Colby then takes that as a personal insult.

And Colby is playing quite well, actually. He's already improved on numerous categories from last year in 30 less games.

To add more fuel to the fire....Yahoo Story

The Highlight from Albert:

“If he doesn’t want to be here next year, we need to figure out a way to get him out of here and find somebody that wants to be here and play,” Pujols told Yahoo! Sports before Sunday’s game against the Reds. “That’s a reality.

“That’ll show you right there a young player that doesn’t respect what he’s got,” he added. “He needs to find out the talent and ability that he has and pretty much keep his mouth shut and play the game. Let the organization make those decisions, not himself.”

Following the game, Pujols reiterated his comments to St. Louis-area and national media: “If you don’t want to be part of this great organization, man, this is one of the special organizations you want to play for. And if you don’t want to be a part of this, then you know what? You need to figure out a place to go and play.”
