Who's excited about Papi's amazing start?? As of right now, he's even out-OPSing Adrian Gonzalez. I think the addition of Gonzalez has helped a ton as it's taken a lot of pressure off him. He's now getting on at a .384 clip, top 10 in the AL.

This offense makes me :D

Definitely, he's looking great. The offense has been very good as of late.
Nice to see another 4 hit game from Crawford too!

Detroit pitching has given up 40 hits these last two games :benson:

I'm seeing 12 on Tuesday and 16 today, for 28 total.

?

Tuesday?

20 yesterday (Wednesday), 16 so far through 8 today. I think they got 5 on Tuesday versus Cleveland.

Love to see his BA over .300 after the first couple months  That is very rare to see for him, but I'll take it! He still has plenty left in the tank 8-) 8-)

He has been good this year so far but I think the interesting thing is what the Red Sox do with him contract wise for next year.
He has already said he wants at least a two year contract(what player doesn't). He is making 12.5 million this year.
I'm sure the Sox would only want to do a one year deal considering his age. I'm sure he will want more but the market for DH's has really dropped the last few years. Do they say goodbye to Big Papi or do they overpay for an aging DH?

If I had to guess I say he will play two more seasons in Boston. I see Youk being our DH after that...

ortiz will 100% be back next year (minus an injury or something flukey)

youk isnt exactly a kid anymore either. he is the next logical DH but i dont know how much longer than ortiz he'll play. i should probably look up his contract before saying this, hah

I think you need to read your original post again. You were talking about Detroit pitching, not Boston hitting.

Detroit got rained out vs Tampa on Wednesday. The Red Sox got 20 hits on Wednesday, but they were allowed by the Cleveland pitching staff, not Detroit's.

I thought Tony Maz of the baseball reports on 98.5 said Ortiz was done last year and they should cut him. What a tool he is.

SHow'em if you got him. Ortiz has some sweet autos in Gypsy.
