No baseball today that wasn't Dodger related.

Hornung. Not sure how I feel about that "1". it looks a little weird to me, but maybe it was a mistake that was "fixed" with a think number? Maybe Hornung thought he was supposed to number them, then got wise? Thought it was unique, so wanted it.

Sizable haul to go with a big Dodger day. Little bit of everything before I do a 2nd post for the rest.

B Williams Jimmy Dean.jpgBlue.jpgK Smith.jpgHoerner.jpgBlount.jpgLebaron.jpg

A rare Penn emblem add, Munson. Another scan that makes item look faded, but it was vibrant in person. Phew!Munson Penn.jpg

If anyone has chased this card, you probably know it is a pretty tough find, given what it is. Skybox had a 5 card Favre MVP insert that was issued across a couple brands. The cards were a creative mix of foil, acetate, leather and such. I think it was card 1 & 2 in their base issue and a 3A redemption card. The premium set contained redemption 3B and cards 4 and 5. The 2 redemptions were traded for the card #3, a cool lenticular card. Once a tough set, it seems many were inserted and the lenticular redemption card can be found for a couple bucks in quantity. 3A is a fairly easy find, but 3B has proven tricky.

I have 1, maybe 2 now, but I still look for it and if I can steal one cheap, I'll keep buying them because I am sick that way.

Favre B.jpg

Preview for the next post and because I won't be able to fit all 12 scans onto one post. If you have paid any attention at all to my recent monthly pick-ups, you'll have noticed I am backfilling a lot of football and basketball, but specific to football, it should be easy to figure out my 2 favorite teams, Minnesota and Oakland/LA/LV. The rest to follw, but here is one of each. I didn't notice the Page was faded until it was too late!Eller 2.jpgHendricks.jpg

Raiders, including a somewhat exciting (for me) Charles Woodson. He seems to be in a new category of overpriced autos, so to find a "bargain" was nice, although bargain is relative in this case. Nothing like Randy Moss though! Probably won't own one of his certified autos ever...

Just one today and it isn't even baseball. I'm slipping.

1993-94 Upper Deck SE Behind The Glass Michael Jordan - Loved this set when it came out and especially the Larry Johnson since the Hornets were my team back then.

This one made it's way to Asia, then back. Trammell /99. Trammell 99.jpg

This one should have had a partner to report, Jim Otto, but transaction issues continue to plague me. They seem to have left out one of my cards. This is Probstein and this is now the 2nd time it;'s happened in almost as many orders with them. Was a fan and supporter when people trash talked them about being a decent ebay seller, but this is bending my support a bit. The past item they didn't send took several tried to get a refund and finally filed a claim. It was for a card /10. This time its a bit easier to replace card, but tired of having to put in extra effort just to get what I pay for.

Have another deal that is looking shifty as well...with a seller in Australia. I don't doubt I'll get a refund if needed, but more hoops and hassles from an increasing crappy customer service level we seem to have turned into the new norm.

The card that did arrive...That's Incredible! (For those that remember the connection) Fran Tarkenton. Tarkenton.jpg

Another Fran...s-l1600.jpg and another Ahmad. Rashad 2.jpg

Then these toughies. Not 100% sure, but was told these may have come in Programs/NLF Game Day in the early Seahawk Days? I don't see them too often. Some are magazine size and some are 5x7

8x10 or slightly larger: R Howard.jpgNiehaus.jpg

Couple decent Ebay grabs as prices seem to lightly move back down to earth.

This is one cool 90s basketball insert set I highly doubt I'll ever complete. Damn if I didn't wait too long for the Kobe! I have the rest now with this Grant Hill. G Hill.png
