Per the shipping tab on the auction the shipping method is "Standard Shipping (eBay Standard Envelope for Trading Cards, Stamps, Postcards & Coins up to $20)" so it was stated as PWE shipping, that's what eBay Standard Envelope is. Shipping being listed as $2.50 is a big red flag because that's not enough to cover postage for a bubble mailer, unless they get a postal employee that doesn't know what they are doing. If I see that I take a closer look at the auction and if it doesn't specifically state it's being sent in a bubble mailer I assume it's going to be PWE, and do not bid if it's a thick card to avoid a hassle like this.

With that being said, it's the seller's responsibility to get the card to you in the proper condition. If it's wrecked, you have every right to go through the return process for a damaged item. But since this seems to keep happening to you over and over you might want to pay closer attention to the auctions and just skip bidding on the ones that ship PWE.

I will not send it back. I am tired of these sh it sellers with no brains to not have the common sense to not send a thick card in a PWE and charge the proper shipping. I asked the seller to refund me $10 and call it even. He called me an extortionist. The card is serial number 19/20 Juans jersey number. even that the fact it has some bad creases I still want the card. Next time at check out I will ask the seller for a total with card shipped in a bubble mailer. So I will leave the seller with the proper feedback

Perfect reason why I won't use that service on Ebay, thick card or not. Everything goes bubble mailer whether it's a $5 card or $500 card.

A seller with that much feedback knows better. He's the extortionist. He's sold enough to know not to send thick cards pwe and that it doesn't cost $2.60 to mail pwe.

You said that the card has creases that do not show up in a scan. I believe you that it's creased, but if I was a seller and some random buyer messaged me saying "The card was creased, give me a $10 partial refund or you get proper feedback" and sent me a picture with nothing visibly wrong, and refused to send the card back, I'd think they were extorting/scamming as well. If you want to ask for some kind of refund you need to be prepared to send the card back for a full refund - eBay doesn't require sellers to issue partial refunds and let people keep the cards. They're required to issue a refund for damaged merchandise when it's returned to them.

I do agree the seller is a bozo to send PWE and $2.50 is too much to charge for PWE, but at this point that is in the past, you purchased the card with a clear shipping price that was also clearly marked as being shipped PWE. Maybe stop doing that, then you won't have to make a new post complaining about it every single time it happens.

I've shipped cheap game used cards and 99% of the time, no issues.. I've had one issue where the card ended up creased due to the mail process. Since EBAY pays for the insurance for these types of PWE cards, I had the buyer work with me while we filed a claim.. I ended up getting the amount that he paid for everything from the insurance company. I gave him a refund and he kept the card since he needed it for his PC.
Contact the seller and let him know to file a claim. it went smoother than a claim thru the USPS.

Good luck,
