Basketball seems to be all about the higher end stuff.

I would imagine that is true.
The rookie class also seems to be full of duds. Not a whole lot to get excited about beyond Wall.....so that may have something to do with it as well.

I really haven't seen many breaks to tell you the truth. Looking at the sell-sheet again, I still think it looks like a decent lower-end base product.

im guessing by the summer, the bottom will fall out of the wax prices.

its shocking to see how much of an impact Griffin has had on last years "junk" wax.

Panini boxes are $50+ (they were $32 pre-season)
Topps boxes are $99 (they were $64)

I really like Donruss. But I know that Panini will release five more products like it and that the bottom will fall out of the rookies as more products get released. So I'm waiting; plus, I'd like to build Contenders again this year, but it doesn't look like it will be as cheap because of the manufactured patches.

On a side note, I plan to really move on this year's rookie class in the offseason. This year's rookie class is a lot weaker than last year's, but it's about priced in at this point. I've already picked up Turner and Favors autos for less than $15. I think that George, Udoh, Bradley, Aminu, and Wall are all guys who are underpriced to an extent. I'd like Cousins more if I didn't think his career trajectory will look like Zach Randolph's. Bradley is simply buried in Boston, but he can play. There are a few others in this class who still have some potential and I expect all of them to be available for pennies this offseason (if they aren't already).
