New to EBay. Listed a couple strasburg chromes that ended on Tuesday. Went to list a couple more today and before I can list them EBay has to verify me by me faxing over my dl credit card statement bank statement and utility bill. Is this normal. I think I sold maybe 100 dollars worth of stuff.

Sounds a little fishy to me. Did they send you an email about this or is it something that pops up when you logged into ebay?

I would go into the actual ebay site and contact someone with customer service before sending out all that stuff. Seems highly excessive to me.

It was on the EBay site. I went to confirm listing and it said to contact cs at this number. Talked with a lady that emailed me stuff to fax back.

Also anybody know how long it takes after you fax that crap to them to get you verified or whatever they do so you can start using EBay again. Thanks

This is stupid. Faxed stuff yesterday. Just got a response saying thank you for the fast response however your social security card that is blacked out besides your name will not work for id. We need a photo id with an address on it. This happen to anybody else.

Sounds real fishy to me. Is there anything your leaving out of this story to warrent such scrutiny?

Sounds like his computer is all virused up, directing him to a false site and he's about to get his identity stolen.

I hope not. But it does seem a bit ridiculus. I opened an EBay business account about 3 weeks ago with the po box that we use. Have bought a couple items. Have sold a couple items. Went to list about 20 to 30 chromes from my blaster breaks and then this.

Went to try and bid on something today and they have blocked me from bidding and listing items until they say I get verified. The 20 or so items that I listed the other day were pulled down as well.
