(hopefully this post will stay on topic)

In a deal too good to pass up, my longtime friends were shipped out last week.

Ever put a card up for a B/O and get an offer that's too good to refuse? Happened twice.

Goodbye, friends. Godspeed.

...the trade/sale was $650 plus a SCG 98 2002 Topps Traded Chase Utley auto - raws are going for $70-80, so the SCG 98 should be $120-130 or so.

Kids. And honestly, that's where a lot of christmas money is coming from. And their jerseys will be paid for from that $... But, I hate paying more than I have to for something, so I'm still looking for jerseys. Hell, I can't even find a youth Cole Hamels jersey.

Congrats on the sales.

I had 5 Jake Peavy Topps Fusion autographs and always meant to keep one. I bought in 2004 for between $75 and $90 each and sold four between $200-$300. The last one I had listed on Naxcom for nothing more than an easy way to keep inventory and it unexpectedly sold for $250 just a few months ago--way higher than they've sold for on eBay during that same time.

Guess I would have "refused" the sale if I could, but $250 was too much to pass up. I've since picked up another on eBay for $150. The Fusion auto could be a huge card if he's moved to a better team.

Sweet cards. Personally I like the bowman auto over the Topps Traded but both are really nice cards. Anyone know what happened to the big time Utley collector? His name started with an A I think.

Ironically, the Utley news for the hip surgery came the day the card did. Oh well.

I still have 6 gold refractors that need to be graded, so replacing the gold refractor PSA 10 shouldn't be too tough. I'll miss the SP 1/1, but I do still have the Chrome Red Refractor 1/1.

I hated to sell the card, but it was a lot of money, and I've seen toooooooo many prospects crash and burn.

Stunning cards. But you got an incredible price for them.
It was that Marson Gold Chrome and Rico's Plouffe Golds in this thread that made me remember how beautiful those old Gold Refractors are.

Looking for another older post of mine and found this one.

While it's not all said and done yet, damn I made out well in this deal.

I'm good, thanks. May want to think about buying some and throwing them on the bay.
