Some people collect them, because of the misprint or player collectors who collect just that player. Other wise. It's not worth anything.

Quality control issue. Every product has them. Most of this type of print mistakes are caught and trashed, as that is seen as inferior product by the manufacturer. They don't want stuff like that making it to the consumer. Sometimes they slip by and are processed into packs. Sometimes they are saved by employees and sold off aftermarket. Sometimes people have dumpster dived and salvaged printer scrap. As noted, there is a niche market for them. Collectors have created a demand for them, as something different or unique. This is usually a specialty collector who likes these types of mistakes in general or player collectors who are looking for their favorite players. Most have minimal value above a regular card to a majority of the card market, but to the right collector and the right card/mistake, they can be quite valuable. Certain players can create a greater demand and higher cost. Stars and fan favorites almost always see a better value than an everyday common player. Most are really not considered errors per se, because they were not anything but a malfunction to the regular printing process and should have been garbage.

More and more of this stuff keeps popping up bc people take full sheets and intentionally miscut them in order to list them as some type of rare error. Some player collectors have to collect everything, therefore unscrupulous people will cut the card 3 different ways in order to take advantage of them.
