Today and yesterday was a couple days of luck with the autographs. Yesterday when I got to fanfest I walked over to one of the autograph sessions to see who it was and the line was not that long. I found out it was Gaylord Perry so I ran to one of the venders to get a photo and got back and I barely made the cutoff. They only let in like 10 after me. Then I knew that Alyssa Milano was going to be there from 12-1 signing but I couldnt find anyone who knew where she would be. It just happened to be the same place as Perry and when I got there they cut the line off 25 people after me. She was only signing for 300. I got her to sign an All-Star ball on the sweet spot and she personalized a photo also.
Today I got in line for Bob Feller and they cut the line off 3 people after me. Later I was just walking around and stumbled upon the MLB.com booth and saw them giving out the Golden Spikes Award. There was alot of people around and I didnt think that if they signed afterwards I would have any chance so I walked away and then spoted a little opening on the other side so I went over and waited. After a security guy said they would not be signing they announced that they would be at a little table I was standing right by, so everyone rushed over and I got Stephen Strasburg (#1 draft pick, Washington) on the sweet spot of and all-star ball and also got Dustin Ackley(#2 Draft Pick, Seattle), Mike Leake (#8 Draft Pick, Reds), Kent Matthes(#121 Draft Pick, Rockies) and AJ Morris(#112 Draft pick, Washington) on the same ball. They only signed for maybe 50 people if that. Then I decided to wait around and watch Bud Selig's interview and when he walked out I got him to sign a ball. So it turned out to be a couple of very good days. I will try to get some pictures up tomorrow.
