The two boxes I opened were fun, but the autos weren't quite as exciting: Bill Madlock, Steve Balboni, Luis Tiant and Jay Buhner. That said, I'd rather pull their autos then Angel Pagan any day of the week. I'm just a few cards away from the base set, but walked away with a ton of doubles and even some triples. The inserts are kinda hit and miss - I love the 3D and cloth stickers, and the Deckle Edges were sorta cool too. I don't care for the reprint inserts - for all I care, they could have just been more set SP's. Overall, I liked opening them, and loved seeing the 1984 throwbacks. Not sure if I'll do much more with them, outside of picking up some of the more obsolete autos, like the Mike Scott and Cecil Fielder ones my LCS has in.

From a purely fun factor, though, I haven't enjoyed opening a product that much since Masterpieces.

Getting Bill Madlock isn't exciting? I would be excited, but that's only because he was a Pirate.

Turn "Bill Madlock" into "Kent Hrbek," and then it would be exciting. Still fun to see those guys' names pop us as autos though.

Are you talking Jack or Will Clark? Will Clarks are HOT out the gate, so far.

Awww, it's cute that Gt has a pet name for Slette ;)

Slette are you putting together the set? I've busted 3 blasters so far so I might be able to send some base your way once the SP list is released.

I've also noticed something, at least for the retail product. Each of my 3 blasters had a Darvish and Cespedes RC in the same pack, side by side.

Beats what most people call me.

Are you talking about the base set or auto set? I know the base SP's are 201-240, not sure which autos are SPed. Also, if you pull any "In Action" inserts, those are harder than hell to find too.

Hmm, I knew the 201+ were SPed, but the checklist I read noted that there might be some additional SPs TBA.

Bryce Harper is SSP'ed - he's #241, if you happened to land one of those from your blasters. Knowing your luck, you probably pulled one in all three!

And was wondering if I could get a quick opinion from you guys. Had a delivery yesterday that said " delivery today after 12 PM or else.."
Pissed me off, saved the paper, would you guys go show it to human resources?
