I want to collect a bunch of parallels of a guy from 2008 bowman chrome draft but not sure who to pick

I want someone who's value should increase in the near future.

Not looking for guys with auto's unless it is jesus montero's refs.

who should I pick?

Re: Want to start a stash of a player from 08 draft...who??

What's your budget like?

You won't find many answers here, people like to keep their prospects close.

I personally like Markus Brisker. He has great upside and his prices are reasonable.

I'm working on picking my guy now. This works pretty well for me.

Here's what I'm doing:
Make an excel sheet with the checklist
Add player's age and team
Research each player on MILB.com and FirstInning.com
If the player is bad or not in your price range, delete the row
Add stats, eBay prices, etc to your excel sheet and find the best value

I don't know how expensive he is, but I'd take a look at Tyson Ross if I were you.

I really wanted the Mets to take him. He's a college pitcher so he's little safer than a HS kid. His two problems are a funky delivery and injuries, but he has as much potential as anyone rom this draft class.

No one ever said prospecting was "easy"...just ask any true prospector...they spend countless amounts of time researching, "spreadsheeting" every player they are looking to invest...

If you don't have the time to "commit", then this may not be the thing for you.

If I were to go after a guy in 08 Draft I would go for Edgar Olmos. Check him out and his prices are low. Stock pile!!!

If you're not willing to do the work yourself why should someone else do it for you? I hate these threads.

Prospecting may not be your thing then. If you want to find a good guy that fits your wants, you have to do some research to find him. Can't just randomly select someone or rely on the opinions of those on a message board (no offense to those who have offered suggestions).

Re: Want to start a stash of a player from 08 draft...who??

All I am asking for is one guy who is cheap and has a lot of potential.

I just want one little stash, I know I'm not a prospector(for all those guys who said this isnt for me)

thanks for the people giving me good ideas

So basically, you want others to do the work for you by telling you what player to collect so you can make money?

:? :? :?

Some buyer has bought every Gold refractor that's been on eBay since release. Major jump in price between the blue ref and the golds. About $40 difference...
