Frank Thomas BB card

i have a 1990 Topps full set of unopened MLB cards. I understand there maybe 1. a Frank Thomas card that may have some value. 2. Also a George Bush baseball card too. The set is unopened but I really dyeing to know if these special cards are in the box. Can anyone advise me? Is the set worth less if I open it?

Those cards would not be in an unopened set, and if it's a sealed factory set it would be worth less if you opened it. It's not like it's worth a lot anyways so feel free to open it if you want to look at the cards, it's just that those two particular cards would not be in it. It'll just have the regular cheap Frank Thomas rookie card in there.

Open it and then get the BIG prospects graded and hold on to them. Look for Ben McDonald, Eric Anthony and Kevin Maas. I have a really good feeling this could be the year they all break out at once!

You won't find the Frank Thomas error card in a boxed set. Some people say they were found in 1990 wax cases that came from the north east area. Other people say they were cut from full sheets of cards. The George Bush cards were found in wax packs. You can look on google for more about the Frank Thomas cards. An unopened set is usually worth more than a set that's been opened. There are two wax cases on ebay now. One for $1795.00. And the other for $14,999.00 1990 TOPPS BASEBALL WAX CASE 1ST PRINT BBCE FASC RARE FRANK THOMAS ERROR NNOF? | eBay

So I guess my 1990 Topps baseball wax case is finally worth more than the $125.00 I paid.
