Rick Porcello is taking the mound tonight for the Tigers as they take on the Seattle Mariners. A pretty tough assignment being matched up against Felix, but I hope he [Porcello] can last longer than an inning tonight!

Do you guys think anyone from the Mariners will be brave enough to charge the mound tonight?

Can't wait to watch.

He's looked great his last three starts (or at least the first inning of his last start) so hopefully today is no different.

Homer's got Lincecum fresh off a bullet in the left foot.

Should the Cincinnati 'pen start getting loose now?

Special delivery from Adam Everett. Two out RBI Single and the Tigers lead.

......and then he goes and commits perhaps the cardinal sin of baseball and gets thrown out trying to take third with two outs (on a passed ball).

Oh well, hopefully Porcello will just toss a shutout and the one run will be enough.

The sad thing is that's probably what it's going to take. There are some serious run scoring problems on the team this year.

I think the Mariners have had worse hitting problems this year....

Man Porcello is absolutely dealing though. He gave up that leadoff single to Ichiro but then he got him off the bases with a double play and no one else has reached base. Three Ks through three too, and 9 men have batted through three innings against him. Could be a special night if he can keep this up.

Not to mention, he has hit 97 on the gun too. He's been throwing some serious heat lately to go along with the low-90s two-seamer.

Flat out abusing the Mariners. 5 Ks through 4 IP (and making them look BAD too) and yet another 1-2-3 inning.

Rare error by Inge broke Porcello's streak of batters retired in a row at 13, but Porcello comes back to get his 7th K of the ballgame. He is absolutely dealing tonight.
