Got My Ass Kicked On '08 SP Authentic

Went to a local show last night at the mall, and couldn't help but pick up a box despite how much I've heard what a weak product it is.I've never bought any of this before, the economy sucks so bad so there weren't many dealers there, I had a craving to buy something, and I really wanted one of those By The Letter or whatever they're called cards.

Pulled a Jenkins By The Letter autograph, 2 "rookie" autographs (one wasn't even a true rookie and the other had half the signature cut off from the window), and a bunch of base.I'd rather have a crappy sticker autograph than those horrible window autographs with half the signature cut off.All the base cards you have to turn sideways to read the name, and even then it's tough to see the name.

Has anyone pulled a worse autograph than Jenkins out of this?Anyway, I won't be buying anymore of this.

I was lucky all my autos were visible. Not sure how good of a Rookie they are...

Autographs are Iribarren (Brewers rookie) with swatch of jersey, and Duran (Rangers rookie).I guess they could have been worse, as I know both at least made the majors this year.But I do know that Iribarren had true rookies in '05 (I own a couple of them).

Yes, that Jenkins.Maybe if the Phillies can win the World Series I can somehow get rid of it.I was surprised/disappointed they would even make a card of him.

I have bought a few boxes of UD products over the years, and every oversized autograph/swatch card I've pulled, like the Jenkins, at least has some minor wear on the edges.Isn't there someway they can manufacture/distribute these cards without any damage to them?

Yes, I saw what you pulled in another thread here.You made quite a haul there.I can't believe all your "rookie" (isn't the Hart and Crabbe true rookies though) autographs have the entire signature visible.Even though the Gonzales isn't a true rookie, at least you got someone worth having.

I always thought Atkins was underrated.Did it have any wear on it like mine did?

Yes, I know the patch cards are manufactured/not game used (it says they are not game used on the back if I recall correctly).What I meant was mine had some wear on the edges and I was asking if his did as well.
