He's going to retire and then there will be another umpire that people hate and then they will incorporate the auto strike zone and everyone will be complaining about that as well.

Nothing was ever said until technology took over. Why don't we get rid of all the players and just have video game baseball played by baseball nerds.

They could tear down the old stadiums and put in low income housing.

I could go on, but you get the picture. when will it end. it won't!

People will complain about everything unless it benefits their team.

He was rightfully complained about. Most of the griping about umpiring isn't really warranted but Hernandez routinely missed calls on balls 4+ inches off the plate. He was awful.

The reason so many people are happy to see Hernandez go has nothing to do with tearing down stadiums, technology, or people being homers. It has everything to do with his terrible reputation across all of baseball, which was well earned from decades of being a terrible umpire.

And give me a break, please. Tearing down baseball stadiums to build affordable housing may be pushing the definition of politics a little, no? And for the records, it goes the other way too. Ever heard of Chavez Ravine?
