Opened case 2 of 4 BDP tonight. Another AWESOME case (17 total autos, super, all blue parallels), but in the last box, 3rd pack I opened, JASON HEYWARD AFLAC Auto! Rarely do I ever pull a higher $$ card of someone I collect. Funny thing is, I was just talking to skrip about his Heyward pulls last night and told him I was going to pull one tonight.

So, what's the best card you've pulled of one of your guys?

Best pull of "my guy" I've ever had was in 1994 when I went to Target and the grocery store with my mom, and I convinced her to get me a box of 1994 Sportflics Rookie/Traded(retail only). I'm an M's fan so I sooooo wanted the Alex Rodriguez Artist's Proof. I sat there in the car while my mom went into the grocery store asking god to please give me that card. I ended up getting like three Artist's Proofs in the box, including...Alex Rodriguez. The story of what happened to the card in the following years is depressing and have been told before, but I about went nuts when I got that card.

My first ever big hits were of my favorite player, Emmitt Smith. My mom bought me some packs of 1992 Action Packed at Walgreens, I pulled an Emmitt base card and the braile insert. Yes, braile insert, and they were hot. Like a day later I'm sitting in my mom's office waiting for her to get off of work, reading one of those big price guides. I see that there's a 24 kt. Gold parallel, with Emmitt booking over $300, a huge amount for the time. I was thinking how great it would be to have that card and took a look at my Emmitt base card, only to find out I DID have that card.

Also I went through a long stretch in like 1997 where I kept pulling nice Griffey inserts. That was fantastic.

I have not had much success at all with Jeter. The best I probably pulled was a Derek Jeter Gold Rookie Card.

Back when I was collecting Mark Grace, I opened a pack of 05 Absolute and pulled a triple GU/auto #d/10.

I have been lucky and have had it happen to me a handful of times, and I hardly EVER really crack any product. My biggest pull of McGwire was the 1992 Barry Colla auto, his first autographed card (25,000 sets, and only 200 auto's). The unopened sets themselves were really scarce to come by. Beckett had previously done 2 or 3 writeups of how rare the card was, and how they had never even SEEN the card in person. Kruk cards listed a sealed box of 24 sets, and a fellow collector outsniped me on it, and it sold for around $135 if I recall. After that auction ended, Kruk listed another box, but this one only had 16 sets in it. I set my snipe even higher than the first unopened box, as I sure as heck wasn't missing out on both auctions. Well auction closes, and I won the partial box for like $28!! And as luck would have it, I ended up pulling the Auto card around the 14th set. Here's a picture of the card:

The serial number was also cool to have, as it was my jersey number in sports, my birth day, and birth year reversed.

So you think you can come on my board and post pics of rediculous mcgwire autographs that you were lucky to pull? Hahah just playing bro. I remember you telling me about that pull. That is awsome. I would just like to buy alot of old 02 products and try to pull a mac auto. And once again i hate your guts for that insane card you managed to get off the bay the other day!!

my biggest pull happened in happened way back in 1989... UD Grif. Jr. RC.

I know that was a long time ago and he's not my favorite player, but he is who he is.
