I went to a card store in Jackson TN while on business which is about half or less the size of Memphis. The owner doesn't sell Basketball anymore and I asked him why and he said b/c they haven't sold well since Lebron's rookie year. He then tells me this story which is kinda hard to believe, but I just wanted to see what you guys think. He said he bought a box of Exquisite from 03-04 that somebody ordered, but that the guy didn't end up buying it so he was stuck w/it until someone else showed interest in it. He said he sold it to the guy for cost and he ended up pulling a Lebron rookie and that it was #'d 23/99 (hmm). The best card that could've been pulled I say except for the refractor version #'d to 23. He said the guy had it for a while then sold it at a card show for $17,000 cash and $3,000 worth of cards. I'm one of those people who believes none of what I hear and only half of what I see, but if it was a true story that would be something else huh? Just thought I'd share what could be total BS or a great pull. Which do you think?
