How can you tell if an Ichiro auto is authentic?

I've thought about picking up an Ichiro auto lately, but going for a PSA/DNA example as they can be had much more reasonably. However, his signature is so odd that I'm not sure I can even trust something that's slabbed if it's not pack pulled. For example:

it's authenticated, but other than being scribbly, it doesn't look like a lot of the pack pulled autos out there. Is the above auto questionable even though it's slabbed? or would you feel safe with something like that?

The way I see it is you're going to spending a decent amount either way you go. So I'd rather spend the extra $ and get the pack pulled auto's. It's not like a psa/dna authenticated can be had for pocket change. Just my opinion.

Here are 2 examples I got in person during spring training. The Bowman was certified by JSA and slabbed by BGS.

I dont have a scan of my other one but I sent that off to PSA DNA to get certified and it came back unable to authenticate. I was shocked because PSA has done plenty of signings with Ichiro and this one was pretty clean. I guess it will make its way to JSA eventually but talk about frustrating.

Here's mine. Looks a little different than the others in this thread (most like jrinne's BGS/JSA Bowman):

I personally would't buy an Ichiro auto that wasn't pack pulled or had his hologram on it.

That's what makes it so tough is how different his autos can go for. Guess I'll leave the one I listed alone if Brian's going after it. A few others just like it sold for ~$130 so I thought it might be a nice cheap alternative. I'd hate to get a slabbed one and find out its not good.

Personally I'd stick with pack pulled or Mill Creek. Too many fakes out there and his auto has changed quite a bit over the years.

My bad. The seller wasn't Mill Creek and I didn't see a hologram so I assumed it was a random card slabbed by PSA/DNA.
