For Japanese, yes. But for "gaijin", you'd rarely ever go last name first 8-)

More often than not it is....

"We are only paying him $8.667M a year! The posting fee isn't part of his contract"

Ok, but he still cost $103M total, it doesn't matter if he is making the money, the team still spent it on him.

If he goes down with Tommy John he may not pitch with the Sox again. If so he cost the Red Sox just under $1m per start.

It didn't work out for them, obviously, but I'm happy that they had the balls to take that shot.
(That, and 2007-08 weren't terrible, and that's about the only silver lining I take from it).
