I see his Chrome autos selling for $100+... but seriously isnt this a little crazy? yeah he has power potenial but right now people are paying like he's going to be a .300 hitter with 35-40 hrs... not seeing it. I mean if you are buying these at $100 a piece you clearly see some upside.. Whats it going to take for him to make that jump? I think at that price you're paying for an all star already...which isnt the case.

A prospect doesnt need to be that good to reach those prices. Media, message boards, and tax refunds can turn a avg. prosprect into the next Mickey Mantle. Stanton though, should be pretty damn good.

The guy is young and has already shown that he can hit Major League pitching. The prices are not shocking at all. People pay much more than that for players who have never even seen the Majors.

This isn't really a prospecting answer, but if he doesn't ever improve, he could be another Juan Gonzalez.

This is a hobby. Some people COLLECT cards of players they like.

Not everything is about turning a damn profit.

This dude seems to be wound up a little tight. Must want some Stanton's pretty badly and not be able to afford them.
