List a time, looking back on it now, that you could kick yourself for NOT buying something.

For me, it was in a Woolworths in the Bronx back in 1986 when I saw 86/87 Fleer Basketball packs.

Why do I even remember this? Because I recall getting all excited thinking "well if they carry Fleer baskteball cards, maybe they carry Fleer Baseball cards."

Back then, it was impossible to find fleer or Donruss cards at retail by me. Granted I was only a kid then and had no interest in anything but Baseball so Ill give myself a pass.

Matt Rizzotti Red Ref for $25.

It was before his price boom and I allowed myself to miss it by putting in a $22.50 offer.

Was going to BIN that night but the next time I looked at the auction it was gone.

Miguel Cabrera Topps Traded autos, rookies, etc.

Also Dontrelle Willis.

Saw them both in the FSl (High A) back in 02 and got their game worn caps from the final game when the Hammerheads won the championship. Wanted to buy but my money went to to other things (high school). Fast forward to 2003 and their cards were selling like hot cakes!!

Jason Heyward.

I already had quite a few things, but sold way to early. I had every reason to buy him from the get-go, but for some reason I did not. ::facepalm:: :benson:

There was this nice house I really liked, wish I had saved up a down payment, it was up for sale around 1999/00 for $287,000; even with real estate what it is now that house would sell for double the 1999 price. I still drive by it occassionally to torture myself and remind myself what kind of an idiot I am.

I can't think of any sportscards that I regret passing on or not buying.

I almost bought one of those lifesized Yodas from a Boscov's department store back in the mid-90's. It was around this time of the year and they announced 10% off everything in the store with a half hour to close the one night. But there was no way I could've smuggled it into the house and kept it hidden from my parents.

These cards from the release up until the Summer '08 games. You could have had these for $30 a pop until the 8 golds. They were selling for $750.00 easily during that time.

Another one is the regular Bowman auto of Pujols. I picked a pack out for a customer and he pulled it. Book value at the time was around $100 - $150. I don't remember the ebay price, but I' sure he sold it. All Pujols sold for decent prices in 01, I remember pulling his Fleer Premium redemption and it was $75 card at the time. His BC redemption if I remember correctly was a $500 card.

$10.10 documentary boxes that another FCB member was able to snag almost 2 months ago.

I love punishment and I"m trying to build that non-gold base set.

When I was buying packs of mid 80s to mid 90s I should've been buying high grade vintage commons and waited for the grading to start.

1985/86 O-Pee-Chee Hockey. Mario Lemieux's Rookie Cards

I did buy some, but i wish i bought a lot more, lol.

I was visting Banff National Park as a child and we stopped right in the town of Banff and went to the candy store. I will never forget seeing this huge display of 85/86 OPC wax boxes. They must have had over 100 boxes on display for sale there, $0.35 a pack. if we only knew, lol.
