That is where the common terminology can be confusing. Most people think of "good" as being the opposite of bad. Technically speaking, a card considered in "good" condition is not much above fair/poor. Often, at least in the "old days", a good card was essentially a filler

I think you have a valid point though. A new card in good shape that appears close to mint on front should not have that kind of surprise on the back.

Fantasy world here, but every item being sold (cards especially) should have all sides shown in an image. Too much laziness and too many assumptions have to be made on the part of buyers when a seller doesn't show you the back.
