I have all of the Juan Uribe Error cards 1989/90/91 Error cards for topps and donruss are any of these valuable,I also have the Alex Madrid error card from donruss 89 and I see on ebay these cards go from 10 dollars and some are 500 pr 1000 or 5000 I don't understand why there so many different prices.Does any body know of baseball cards what card or cards are the rarest or most valuable from 1987 through 1993 for Donruss or Topps or Fleer or are any of the Turn back the clock cards worth anything

The 1989 Donruss Alex Madrid cards was sold on ebay for $5000.00. Because someone was foolish enough to pay that much for a graded card from some no name grading company.

i have a (not so) strange feeling this is another version of our new friend mary...account created today ...3 posts nearly identical made with 5 minutes , all asking abiut values of a few junk-wax singles and talking about 2 or 3 virtully worthless cards that "sell" for thousands and whose history includes being linked to money-laundering

I have no clue what you're talking about, but just got these because my dad just passed away from stage 4 prostate cancer and was only 47 but you can go ahead and make your hateful troll comments.Do you own this site,I've broken no rules You're a scumbag hater who lives in his moms basement for sure.I am out of here but first I have something to do.

This was, of course, an extremely inappropriate response to the original comment. Up until that point, I would have seen the OP as someone who was genuinely seeking info/advice for something they had little or no prior knowledge of. However, after that reply, I am not sure what to think. Immature is right up there for sure. If the story is true, and there is no reason not to believe it by any means, a 47 year old father would likely have had a child who is anywhere from their mid teens into their late 20s. Coincidentally, I lost my father to prostate cancer as well, but I was 42 at the time, so obviously my dad was much older. My kids were 8 and 10 at the time. I can only hope that the OPs father went quickly like mine, as I understand that can be a brutal cancer to live through.

Now back to the real task at hand, placing value on those late 80s cards. Most of what the OP has is likely overproduced junk. The uribe/Madrid comment is interesting, so they either googled it or checked ebay. This situation will be interesting to see discussed in the future when everyone with knowledge of it is gone. People may look back and wonder why a worthless 1990 Fleer Jose Uribe would have ever sold for more than 5 cents, aside from a graded copy for a set registry that should sell for more. The "more" being within reason, appropriate to its scarceness when graded as compared to any other common in the same set.

$5000.00? Are you sure the Madrid didn't sell for $5.00 with 3 of those zero's knocked off? Even that might be overpaying.
