Pretty sure it's not superscript, those were numbered to 25 and have holographic foil. Did you pull this out of a pack? If not, I think it was just someone having fun with an embosser.

Its an after market embossing. You see it with those people who make custom cards. its definately not a superscript.
Pm me if you picked up any numbered inserts from the 90s dude.

Here is a pic of a super script Kevin Willis...

Wrong.

The embossing is more than likely Jeff Gordon. UD made a similar error in baseball - on Ryan Anderson's 2000 Ovation card (which was not supposed to be packed out because he hadn't made his MLB debut), they pulled the card and stamped it with an image of Gordon - presumably to let their distributor know that they were defective and should be destroyed. A few made it into packs. It's extremely rare and books for $150

I never heard about a similar MJ error. It would have made big news if it had been discovered

Your card could very well be unique, and it could be worth a TON. I'd email Rich Klein at Beckett and let him know. Include pics. He would probably write a story in his Errors & Varieties column

This could potentially buy you a lot of rum

As posted on the baseball thread, here's the Ryan Anderson. As you can see it has the same embossing.

That is the silver script version. And judging by the Beckett marketplace, 220 may be a very rare card from that set. Pretty much any other card I checked in the 1999-2000 UD MVP Silver Script set had 4-10 copies available, #220 didn't have any. They may have pulled it from circulation for some reason.
