if you could open one Baseball wax (not rack, grocery, vending, nor cello) pack from the 1980's, which would it be, and why?

1989 Fleer...

I really like the look, plus the FF and Marlboro versions are too tempting... Plus a shot at a Griffey RC is just SWEET.

1984 Topps, just for a shot at a Mattingly. Nothing special now but back in the day it was the cat daddy of pulls.

About two weeks ago, I picked up in trade an 800 ct box filled with mostly 1986 packs including Leaf, Topps wax, Cello, Fleer Star Stickers, 1991 Fleer jumbo, Digimon...in other words, nothing of note.

And as I started sorting out the packs, I stumbled upon a 1980 Topps wax pack. No clue how a single pack from 1980 got in there

I was debating opening it but decided against it, instead I sold it (nothing was inside).

My favorites have always been 1980 and 1981 Topps.

Slight preference to 1980 because of the card *backs*. Who wouldn't like full stats and a cartoon *and* the blue background?! Hard to forget.

1982 Topps, Was my 1st pack of cards and remember getting three packs in a ma and pa store. My dad was collecting prior to me wanting to open packs, Asked my mom for three packs and she said yes. Dad came home from work that night and showed him my treasure from those three packs. That weekend he gave me a few more packs of it, Bug was put in place that weekend. Parents gave me a 82 Topps Traded set and never opened it, Still have it to this day along with the cards from those packs. 1st box would be the next year and it was 83 Topps in search of rookies of Boggs, Gwynn and my Phillie favs like Von Hayes, Ozzie Virgil and Michael Jack Schmidt. Would love to go back in time and get 5 packs haha and wouldnt change a thing after. Cards gave me a better relationship with my father, Another father and son relationship made better by cards. Sorry for the long read, Eric asked why and couldnt do it in a shorter version.

can open anything from the 80's on a whim.. not like they are hard to find or will break the bank so I choose none. I opened enough of that junk in the 80's so no need for it now. :D
