I don't understand what you mean by "too late." Is it too late for most of these guys to become Hall-of-Famers? Probably. Is it too late for somebody to drop over $100 on a single card of a non-Howard member of this class? Hardly. There are plenty of high-end Iguodala, Josh Smith, Devin Harris, and Kevin Martin cards that would bring HUGE MONEY. An AI Exquisite gold RC recently sold for $780. For cross-sport comparison purposes, that is $10 less than a Strasburg Triple Threads White Whale 1/1 sold for.

The basketball high end market is extremely robust, and mid-level stars can bring high $$$. Even the mid-end market is pretty robust, as these guys will routinely sell in the $10-20 range for high print autos if they make an All-Star team or something like that.

interesting. i guess im talking about the "others" becoming perennial all-stars, more then HOFers

i know its a sad fact that the hoops markey is ONLY about the "high end". ive never had any interest in high end cards, but thats just me and my wallet for this hobby lol

I'd have to go through the whole list, but there is some decent players. Guys like Okafor that have been solid pros.
Wonder if he could get a jump in price if the Hornets continue to win and he's averaging close to a double-double.
