I sold an etopps card on 8/16. Card was paid for promptly and I transferred the card out of my account on 8/17. I left positive feedback saying thank you and asking the buyer to claim the card at www.etopps.com. It is the standard feedback I leave for all of my etopps auction sales.
I received a message today informing me that he had not yet received the card. We exchange a couple of emails where I try to explain that the card needs to be claimed on the etopps site and that I cannot recover the card as I have already transferred it. The buyer goes on to call me names and threaten negative feedback. He has also opened a paypal dispute.
Has anyone else ever had this happen as an etopps seller? If so, how did paypal handle the dispute? I have a bad feeling that they will side with the buyer, but if so how can the seller be protected at all when selling an etopps card?
