Did you know he played for FOUR teams in 2004? And was part of FIVE organizations that year?

The Orioles, Royals, Rays, and Pirates. Getting AB's with all of them as well...

December 15, 2003: Drafted by the Baltimore Orioles from the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2003 rule 5 draft.

June 3, 2004: Selected off waivers by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays from the Baltimore Orioles.

June 28, 2004: Purchased by the Kansas City Royals from the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

July 30, 2004: Traded by the Kansas City Royals to the New York Mets for Justin Huber.

July 30, 2004: Traded by the New York Mets with Matt Peterson (minors) and Ty Wigginton to the Pittsburgh Pirates for Kris Benson and Jeff Keppinger.

As a jays fans, outside of his average I am liking what I have seen so far.

On pace for 40 Hrs, 100 rbi, 100 walks.

Besides him, John Buck is quietly putting together a nice season so far. 12 Hrs, 38 RBI I will take anyday through the first half from out catcher.

The entire team is posting a great season.

I'm a firm believer that this is the absolutely perfect non-contending baseball team.

Think about what a casual fan wants from a baseball game?

1) Home Runs: The Jays still lead the league by 15.
2) Strike Outs: The Jays Strike out the 3rd Most and their pitching has the fourth most.
3) Tight Games: The Blue Jays have 21 Saves (4th)
4) Kevin Gregg: Those Saves Don't come easy and we're about 10th in Blown Saves. Gregg is almost striking out 11 batter sper nine but also walking around 6 per 9!

The Jays won't beat the Yankees, Red Sox or Rays for the Division crown but if you like a great game of baseball, they're definitely a team to catch. They swing from the heels on almost every AB.

He has literally saved my fantasy season. I drafted him as a backup to Aramis and Aramis has been horrible. I never expected Bautista to be this good.
