that's only $51M a year compared to Ohtani's $70M a year.With the Mets. 15 years, $765M. No, that's not a typo. Wow.
No deferments. Opt out after 5 years.that's only $51M a year compared to Ohtani's $70M a year.
Did he defer any of his contract?
Nope....baseball is out of control. The same deep pocket teams in the largest media markets will always be the WS favorites going into the season. There is a complete lack of parity. Having a luxury tax is not a fix, the rich owners laugh at it.Is he or any player really worth that kind of money ?
so are most yankee fans.I knew from day 1 he wasn’t going to stay. This whole thing played out like LeBron’s “decision”, and I’m glad Soto isn’t in pinstripes anymore.

He's been at worst average defensively the last three years and he's improved his baserunning though it's certainly still just okay more than average. Even with that slight negative though he's one of the top 4 or 5 players in the game and he's only 26.He is a lousy fielder not good running bases. He will be a dh before you know it. We have Stanton dh we need a top of to give judge a break.

security in NYC is very crazy sign of the times. specially a venue like the stadium. if he cant understand that. he is not the first player its happened to.I saw that one of the reasons he left is how his family and staff were treated by the Yankees Security Guards.
