So I have a wonderful 2010 Julio Teheran Blue Refractor Autograph and with his debut tonight and prices on eBay rising I thought I'd throw a poll out there.

So is it time to sell?
Any opinions are appreciated.

Tough call. I'd say no since it's a temporary call up. If he pitches well, I am throwing my Teheran stuff up there though. There's definitely been a nice price spike.

listed the 2009 chrome and base cards I have as I only have four of them. Figure I can sell those off for 10-15 so I can buy something else in that range.

I have 3 listed, one is my gold... 3 day auctions. Might pull it, might let it ride, all depending on how he does tonight. Pitchers scare me... shoulders... TJ... shop lifting...

My opinion: list your stuff with buy it now prices a bit over the going rate. If you get a good offer, take it. If not, hang on to them.

This.

Auction can lead to disappointment if he doesn't pitch well. In all likelihood, if he does halfway decent tonight his cards are going to see some notable increases, but the time to list them is now so people can find them during the game and make their offers on them.

his cards have been steadily increasing since the end of the minoir league year last year....even more of a jump during ST i imagine they will continue to rise a bit more... todays outting while it might provide a temporary spike (whether he does good or bad...the kid has a lot of attention)... but until he gets a bit more time in the majors and shows his stuff I wouldnt expect the big increases to last long.

Going rate was before the call up and a BIN at just over that can tend to break your heart as well... auctions sometimes get crazy heated... 6 of 1... half dozen of the other.

There was no going rate for my gold.

Going rate meaning what the last few have sold for(AFTER the news of him being called up broke)-I have seen base autos hit $50. So, I would put up base at $60-$65, with best offer. The going rate would not mean what they were selling for before the news broke.

To avoid leaving notable money on the table I usually put my BINs significantly higher than current 'market price' of before the hype kicks in and field offers. If none have sold lately (i.e., there isn't a market price), then I'll decide the price I would ideally want in a best case scenario and make the BIN about 20% higher than that.

Maybe I should be a bit more clear... there was NO GOING RATE when I posted mine after the news broke. I did not want to wait around for a few BINS, I decide to see how the auctions acted in the first 24hrs.
