Okay, this started out as a rant about Sherdoggers using the 'true champion' term, but I just made it a random thought post instead.
If I have to listen to this 'Big Nog is the true Heavyweight Champion' ******** for much longer, I think I might kill someone.
I am ALREADY sick of hearing this ****.
Nog never beat the Heavyweight Champion for the belt, he beat Tim Sylvia for the Interim Championship while Randy was on his soujurn. Therefor making him the INTERIM CHAMPION! IF he beats Frank Mir, THEN he beats Brock, THEN he will be the TRUE (if you want to use that term, I don't like it though) Heavyweight Champion after unifying the two titles
I love Nog. He's a Hell of a fighter, and this is NOTHING against him personally. I am just about to blow my freaking lid at all of the Randy Couture supporters/Brock Lesnar haters who are refusing to even acknowledge the guy. I would never consider Nog a paper champion, or not one of the TWO current UFC Heavyweight Champions either. In MY mind, there are TWO Heavyweight Champions. And that's the purpose of this 4 man tournament, becuase in the end, there will only be one.
I am just very frustrated. And I am sick and tired of people with no common sense who talk out of their ass just because of their fandom. I don't think I do that with Brock. Sure, I nuthug him or whatever, but I am also honest and subjective when talking about his fighting and ability. And if he loses, I don't flip out and whine about it. He lost to Mir, sure, and I didn't have anything much to say about it other than Mir caught him, and he deserved to win the fight because of it. I'm not going to sit around and whine about it just because my boy got beat like a lot of the Couture people are doing. I know someone who got so pissed off that Lesnar beat Randy that he walked outside after the fight and threw his cell phone. I thought he was going to cry when I seen him after the fight. (not mentioning any names Mikie) :lol:
I personally want to see Frank Mir beat Nog, so I can see Mir/Lesnar II for the Unification of the two titles. And a lot of people are just automarically counting Frank Mir out, and I guess I can see why, but I'm not doing that. I'm not picking anyone in that fight, because I just don't know what's going to happen. It isn't like Wand/Rampage where you can just expect Rampage getting slapped around like he's Wandy's bitch.
I know I probably come across as some Brock fanboy or whatever sometimes. I can see if someone sees that in my posts the last few days. And that's fine. Because I'm not going to apologize for being excited that he just beat one of the greatest fighters of all time.
But please don't confuse that with just being blind and oblivious to reality. I don't think Brock is God. I don't think he's unbeatable from now on, and tat he's going to hold the belt until Jesus returns. He's beatable. He has a **** load of holes in his game that people like Nog will be able to pick apart. I am a realist and I know he needs to get better and work on his all around game, which he is doing. And his stand up in the Randy fight proved that. But it's very possible that he loses to the winner of Mir/Nog. It's MMA, and anything can happen almost.............except Rampage winning next month :lol:
And for the people that nuthug on Brock more than I do who think that Brock has a shot at Fedor right now?? Come one, lets get serious here. Brock has exactly a ZERO percent shot at a victory over Fedor right now. And I don't see him being able to beat Fedor in the next few years either. I may be a Brock fan, but again, I am a realist and am not going to let my fandom cloud rational judgement.
I am sure I get on Ty's nerves a bit with the Brock talk. I know he hates him with a passion, :lol: And I don't do any of that on purpose to get under his skin at all. Ty's a solid guy who I have talked to on the Internet for years now, and the last thing I want to do is piss him off.
But I just had a few thoughts there that I wanted to get off my chest.
