I bought it for around $8 on eBay. The seller is charging me $8 for shipping. I have bad eyesight and thought the 8 was a 3, until I saw my total was $16 and some change. I messaged the seller asking why so much and he said he ships everything Priority to insure against loss or damage. I told him First Class with tracking has just as much insurance against loss or damage as Priority and would only cost him $2. He said his shipping prices are non-negotiable.

I am definitely considering leaving this guy neutral or negative feedback. Who charges $8 to ship an $8 card??? Biggest shipping ripoff ever!

While he is overcharging for S&H, it was stated in the listing and when you bid you agreed to it. Now having said that, I would leave a positive FB and ding his DSR for S&H cost because honestly it is unreasonable.

I just recently purchased a card from a seller that had $15 shipping to Canada from the US. I asked if he could send regular mail for less and he refused on the $100 card. I ended up getting the card last week with a postage paid $1.75 on it. I contacted him and he refuses to refund me $10 adjustment.

Im honestly thinking of claiming I never recieved the card. Just to get this fool back for ripping me off. I hate people who do this. I have no issues paying the stupid shipping prices. But then when you dont use the service, how is that fair to me?

If you file that you never received the card, the seller could forward the message you sent him about receiving the card with the $1.75 postage to eBay and cover himself, I would think.

Your bad eyesight shouldnt mean a neg or neutral for him. You should pay it, but see if he ships it priority mail insured with DC.

I assume so. But outside of my email that could be made up by him, he must prove the confirmation of delivery. I mean for $15 there should be confirmation of delivery right? You can make up any email response. Just take the header copy it and add what you want to the body of the message!! Thats why ebay doesnt take email reponse via proof that seriously.
