Pulled this yesterday, I can't decide what to do with it. The card is absolutely beautiful, I think it would grade 9.5. Although, I really am not a rickey henderson fan. Would you sell or hold this card? Money isn't a huge need currently, if I sold it I'd probably just bust more wax honestly lol!

I'd be curious to hear what the consensus is on what it would sell for.

No matter what you decide to do with it, congrats!

Tons of Rickey collectors.
If you're not attached to it, sell it at auction. It'll end up in. Rickey collection and you'll have a great price I'm sure.

Buy more wax :)

Is that not already on ebay?

yep, its been up for a day already.

If money isnt an issue and its not a card you want. Why not hook up one of the rickey collectors on the board and sell it to them at a good price? Its always nice to help a fellow collector out.

either way congrats on the pull. what is it like a $200-$300 card

I'm actually surprised at some of the 1/1 Rickey's still available on eBay and thought his would bring higher than I saw.

I think the sell value on this probably is in the $250-400 range on a higher side.

Don't bet on the 9.5 - cards that thick never get em almost. Great pull though!

Keep it. That is a centerpiece to any collection. And I don't see a need to grade a 1/1. Authenticate it instead if you are going to slab it.

Well, here are a few more thoughts since I have had a bit more time to think about it.

Seeing you have had it listed on eBay well before you made this post, I obviously think you should sell it seeing how you have already made that decision. If you are not a die hard Henderson collector or a collector who can afford (or even want) to keep expensive pieces in their collections just for the sake of it, then it is a no brainer to sell it. With regards to grading, If I were keeping it I would absolutely grade it. Not so much for the actual grade but the overall presence of the card in a nice slab that would include sturdy protection. Slabing in a 'authentic' slab just seems useless to me for this card.

However, I will echo someone else above who mentioned giving a resident Henderson collector a deal on here. Now, I am generous to a point giving freebies away here and there, but I would not GIVE that card away. I would however offer it to a local Henderson collector for perhaps $$200 - $300 with the assumption that it is a $300 - $500 card. That is too nice of a Henderson card to not give a resident collector the opportunity, and if you are feeling generous then perhaps you could pay it forward making someone very happy with a good deal!

The realistic price for that card would be between $250-$325. It seems Henderson 1/1 prices are slowly declining. A few years ago, they would never be below $300, but never above $400 unless its was something special like a bat knob/barrel. They usually settled in at $325-$350. Not so much anymore. Too many 1/1's, too many autos, & too expensive that collectors can't keep up. I rarely even bother with them anymore. With all the autos, are they even really worth the price anymore? The market has to be flooded.

Very nice card, but IMO just an arbitrary stamp on a card that looks like all the others in the set.

If you can get a decent price for it, sell.

Classic Pump & Dump thread.

Ban him.

Although I have my response earlier, I agree this was classic. You don't list it a day earlier , make a "look what I hit in 5 star" thread and a "sell or hold" thread without motive to drive hype to sell it
