I think you should only be allowed to spam cards that sell over 100, or really rare cards like supers.

Re: Keep SPAM off the Hobb-Talk?

I don't know about others, but it doesn't bother me one bit. I don't even think spamming is a big problem, there is very little going on compared to what could be.

Just ignore the spam threads. Thats what I do.

Isnt that why we have a "Baseball - Transactions" forum??

ALL Selling/Trading/Spam threads should be kept there. Other wise that is what 1/2 of the posts will be here soon....

While its not to bad now if we allow it here it will get out of control...

I spammed an auction earlier today when there was just a single spam post on the boards. It was followed by a whole bunch of others, and it made me wonder whether spamming was a good idea. I think it remains to be seen if people abuse the option, as it has not been an issue until tonight, but if it becomes an issue often something should be done.

I totally agree with this. The card should have some sort of hobby significance like a super or a ultra-rare parallel.

So if you take off spamming, could you take off pimping threads as well? Isn't it basically the same thing?

For that matter, what about contests run by members that don't follow through?

Great, lets turn this into another one of those threads. You are the definition of a troll.

How about if the front page starts getting 4-5 an hour, then the constant bumps when no one cares. The front page in a few days may have 10-15 spam topics when these are ending, when does it end? Its bad enough we get several "Hey I know this is baseball forum but the *enter section name here* doesn't get any traffic so I am going to avoid helping that section and post it here anyway" topics a day.

I'll also add:
If it is the first, or one of the first of a card, then you should be able to spam it. For example, if I pulled the first button card of someone numbered to 5 or 10, I should be able to spam it.

Its not even in the same realm. If we stop "pimping" prospects this would be one slow board.
