His stuff is absolutely insane right now. The really crazy part is if you watch him play every day, none of this seems out of the ordinary or something he cant keep up (obviously he wont keep it up). He just makes everything look so darn easy. He has so much power he doesnt need to pull anything (no homers to left field), and his speed creates infield hits once every few games. The man is on a different planet right now.

The low-numbered stuff period is kickin'. When I was refocusing my collection last fall, mostly because i needed the money, I sold the 2009 Bowman Red 1/1 for $75 via BIN, which was about 2.5x what I paid for it. Yesterday it sold for $130, which is ridiculous for a non-chrome, non-RC, non-set collector card.

Through all this hotness, even though I know I could have gotten 50-60% more for the things I sold now, I regret just one thing I sold in the fall: The 2005 BC Blue Refractor auto (to a board member.) I waffled on the price and took market value at the time, which was really not what I wanted to do, in retrospect.

In retrospect, I wish I bought all his stuff a couple years ago....

Wonder what a red ref would go for right now...

The Blue Refractor Autograph RC is absolutely GORGEOUS! I was looking at auctions and saw that card again today. I wish I had one. I've lsited pre tty much everything I have other than an autographed RC and an IP autographed baseball I obtained when he was in the minors.

Still, if you've got this kind of money to invest in a card, you've got to buy a Bryce Harper gold refractor BGS 9.5 for about the same money ($1,925). After all, Kemp doesn't play for a famous, historic team in a huge market like Harper does, and he hasn't made the impact on the game that Harper has.

ha. I don't disagree with you. I'd much rather buy a Kemp, especially since I'm a Dodgers fan. My main point was that the RCR 9 outsold the BGS 9 by about $400 and they were sold about a week apart (granted the BGS 9 was sold BO not at auction). That, plus the slabbing/shipping/insurance fees if you send it off to BGS.

I also have good intel that a BGS 9.5 gold Kemp sold recently for about what the RCR did...

Feel like the guy with the Red 9.5 had his starting price to low. Wonder what it sold for, bet he left money on the table. The gold for 1899 was 1/50 and still went that much less. Money left on the table again.
6.5 years of these being graded at the end of last season, and he only had 2 xfractor 9.5's 4 blue 9.5's, and 4 gold 9.5's. So only 10 cards numbered lower than refractor graded 9.5. Now there are 3 x's, 6 blues, and 4 golds for 13 total. At least one red as well, forgot to check numbers on that. I guess they started giving them out like candy the last few months. All of the blues were cut badly and OC to start with. Was only 4 of 43, now there are 6 of 46 blues graded 9.5.

Could have had it for 300 more than what that rcr 9 sold for a few different times. No way I could spend that on one card card though.
