This is just a rumor for now, but, it is "supposed to be announced soon--possibly this week.

I'd watch it, but, not exactly what I would call "Main Event Caliber" anymore.

Am I the only one that thinks that at this point, going up to heavyweight would totally **** up Chuck?

He wouldn't, Randy would drop weight like last time. If they are talking about a HW match, its a big mistake for Chuck.

Personally, I think Chuck is done.

I do too. And I don't think him going up in a weight class is going to help his cause at all.

he's talking about going to HW for the fight.

A strong source indicates to Bloody Elbow that Chuck Liddell is currently in negotiations to move to heavyweight in order to fight Randy Couture. The proposed fight would take place on June 13th in Cologne, Germany.

The UFC wants to have Randy on their Germany show because he speaks the language and can do all the promotion. The winner of the fight would face the heavyweight champion in a big fight at the end of the year.

And I am saying I think it's a terrible terrible idea for him to go up to HW.

As much as I like Chuck, putting two "geezers" of MMA together to fight for a 4th time is not the best idea.

Chuck has beaten Randy twice, and honestly, I can see it happening again.

Heavyweight or not, Chuck has beaten Randy twice, and the weight shouldnt be much of a difference in this fight, since chuck will weigh in around 230 and Randy about 230-240.

Randy's age and the limitations associated with that, and Chuck's seeming loss of speed will be equalizers

I'd say 3-1 for Chuck

I don't even think anyone would really WANT to see this fight for the fourth time.

The UFC already takes enough **** for putting together fights we have already seen in Pride or elsewhere. They don't really need to put on a fight we have already seen three times in UFC.

I'd rather see something I haven't seen before. Like The Spider vs Chuck.

Mainly I'd like to see that because I would love to see Silva completely destroy Chuck.

But we need to see things we haven't seen before. Unless it's a big time rivalry or a rematch or rubber match or something. But we don't need to see Chuck/Handy 4 at this point in their careers. WHy have them train hard for someone they've already fought 3 times when they could be training hard for someone they've never fought? They don't have may fights left in them.

This is exactly why I don't take the UFC seriously at all anymore. Its getting to the point where I dont even want to watch it anymore. Why would Chuck and title shot even be in the same sentence? Money of course. He's never even fought at HW, but it would bring in the PPV buys.

Sengoku, Dream, Shooto, Deep, etc. are what mma should be all about. People earn their title shots and have to fight through the ranks.

Fu(k the UFC and fu(k Dana.

As much as I like Chuck, he receives special treatment from Dana.

Its well known how close they are, and he is always willing to give Chuck the shot over someone who might deserve it more, regardless of what Dana says.

Dana tries to make it seem like he cares for the fans, but, he aint in the UFC to be nice to fans, hes in it, like every other businessman, for money involved, and he knows a Randy/Chuck fight will do that.

...and Sam, I never saw many of Pride's fights, so I actually like seeing those in the UFC, as im sure alot of others do too. I cant wait for Wandy and Rampage!

Oh, I'm pumped for Wand/Rampage III too.

I was just speaking in general about what some people say, and my personal thoughts on the same fight in the UFC for the 4th time.

Dana's got to be the biggest Chuck and Randy nuthugger around.

You should watch fights on YouTube. I just sit around for hours watching old fights on there.

Its a shame that Pride went under. They got involved with the yakuza which lead to them losing their TV deal. As much as Dana wants everyone to believe, the UFC did not destroy Pride.

There was just something about Pride events that made them feel special. I've been to just about every one live for the last 5 years, and had a much better time than when I went to see the UFC.

Also, Pride would always recognize other organizations and their champions. They never claimed to be the only organization out there. They also had inter-organization events with K-1, shooto, etc. The UFC never does this. Its always "We have the greatest fighters in the world and everyone else is crap" type attitude. Makes me sick. Dana is taking the sport I love and turning into everything I hate.

I hope this fight doesn't happen, there is nothing left to really make out of it. 2 guys coming off big losses. And Sam, Liddel wouldn't think of moving to HW, he is way too small for the weight class

The talk of Liddell moving to HW is what started all this talk in the first place.

I think Couture would move down, i don't see Liddell ever moving up to HW. If Randy vs Lesnar was a big size difference, what would Liddell vs Brock be like? lol
