The '95 Sportflix Artist's Proof McGwire completes the team set. Got lucky with the Moreland Topps Now card and received the Blue parallel 01/49. The rest are some slightly less interesting 2021 pickups.

These have finally started to come down in price with the new Bowman out...so i have gotten 4 or 5 to this point.

Base version of the Contenders Optic Lewis/Dilfer insert, I think I'm still missing two or three variations. And a couple of different cheaper Home Run Derby-themed Matt Chapman cards.

Piscotty 2020 Topps Vintage 37/99. The Kuiper is my second A's card from the 2021 Opening Day Ballpark Profile auto set...of the ten cards in the set three of them are A's for some reason. The one I'm missing is Dallas Braden, I'm not too eager to pay a lot for his card because I already have plenty of auto cards from his playing career.

Unusual to pick up 3 Trent Dilfer cards in 1 day. The Lewis/Dilfer Optic Pink is 65/75 and gives me all versions /50 and higher; I also have a Green/27 incoming just leaving the /10 and /1 versions still out there. The Collector's Edge card is a foil misprint with Brett Favre's name, had to grab that amusing error. The 1999 Pacific Copper is /99 and of course I already have it...

...but this one is 12/99, jersey number! Cost me a WHOLE DOLLAR.

Saturday's mailbox was a mixed bag from several different lots I bought as well as a great $1 box find at my LCS.

A couple 90s RCs and an underappreciated (imo) rookie year Canseco.

I needed the Sosas for their respective sets. That's the only way Cubs cards come into my house lol.
I have a hard time seeing Holliday in pinstripes but I love the Sapphire cards.
The Salmon finishes off my 1993 Select Rookies set. Just need the Piazza ROY insert now and the master set is done.

Newest edition to the Reyes RC collection. I really like the Stadium Club Chrome cards.

My $1 box find that is in great shape

As far as master sets go 1993 Select is a great one to put together, those insert sets are all amazing.

The 2005 Leaf Limited Bobby Crosby is a 1/1. Kind of a weak patch but still a decent card. The Daulton Jefferies 2/5 was a bonus with my Topps Now Road to Opening Day team set, not a bad card if he pans out.

Another for the Reyes RC collection - 2017 Topps Holiday Red Sweater /10

Assorted lot of Donruss Super Diamond Kings came in and these were a couple of the better players - I finished all the pre-1995 regular sets so I thought I'd start on the Supers.

Not much exciting today but a couple for some of my most-collected A's. 2005 Leaf Blue Press Proof Mark Mulder 13/75 and a 1997 Grandstand Visalia Oaks team set with an Eric Chavez card I needed.

Man, Score/Pinnacle Dufex was so awesome. This card looks better than 99% of today's cards! Wish some of Pinnacle's card designers would have went to work at Topps.

Agreed though Topps had some great stuff back then too. They're just complacent now without any competition. The exclusive license has really hurt the hobby in that regard. All of Topps inserts now just look like subset cards used to in regular sets.

Not much in the mailbox today but I really like the story of the first and the nostalgia factor of the second is huge.

Fun Cardinals SP mail day today

2014 Topps Waino SPs - I've seen many people say the waving to the fans version is a SSP but I don't know. I've certainly seen it sell for SSPish prices. I'll never pass on cards that feature Yadi and Waino celebrating like the second SP here with a pic from the 2013 playoffs.

The black and white facsimile auto Dilfer photo is purportedly team-issued and I don't think I had it. The McGwire Project 2020 is one I happened to miss when it was sold direct, happy to pay the direct price a year later to pick it up to go with my Rickey Henderson card in a similar style from the same artist. The Reggie is exactly the kind of card I would normally buy on COMC but I paid a little more for on eBay since COMC is such a crapfest right now. Although to just illustrate eBay's own problems, I paid $3 for shipping and the seller sent this thick-ass card eBay standard envelope, I was shocked it didn't arrive postage due and/or damaged.

Sonny Gray 2011 Bowman Heritage Black Refractor auto 01/25 (OMG EBAY 1/1!!!!111). Super happy to finally find a 2005 Topps Black Barry Zito. Now I only need 1 card to complete the team set, an Andre Ethier RC. The Axford was just a recent Topps Black card I didn't have, not sure where I'm at on that team set yet but I know I don't have the Matt Chapman or Matt Olson RCs.

I feel like 1997 Fleer Tiffany cards are underpriced compared to similarly tough '90s parallels, I picked up this McGwire for $6.50. Don't everybody start buying them up yet though, I still need 5 more for my team set and two of those are McGwires. The Fingers auto is a neat acetate card out of 2020 Tribute.

First Bagwell I've bought in a while. I'm in the process of getting my Bags collection somewhat organized so I can try to at least put together a run of all his base cards from his playing career.

2020 Allen and Ginter Boxloader Auto 10/15 - I don't buy much post-career Ozzie stuff but Ginter kinds of breaks that rule for me. Love this card.

2017 Topps Cardinals Online Red 5x7 /5 - Just keep adding to the Reyes collection I keep saying I'm going to sell lol

Happy Accident Mailday - This was a throw-in on a deal from a fellow Cardinals collector who didn't know Connor (my son) collected Piscotty. I barely had time to scan and sleeve it before he snagged it for his Piscotty collection.
