Tom Chambers wasa very underrated player. He was not the greatest on D, but boy could he score

Not to pick on Mark Jackson or anything, but he sure has a knack for being the victim in slam dunk highlight reels.

I'm reading Bill Simmon's The Book of Basketball. Chambers is #96 in the Hall of Fame Pyramid. It got me looking for highlight reels. I remember Chambers and Kevin Johnson running the pick and roll over and over in Phoenix. But the most vivid memory is the 1987 all-star game and him capturing the MVP trophy in front of the home crowd.

It is unbelievable that a 6-10 white guy not named Bird was able to win the MVP trophy when guys like Jordan, Magic, Bird, Dominique and Barkley were playing on the same floor. By the way, here is the box score from that game.
