Have not seen one for sale in a while, but these were the train wrecks you couldn't avoid. Ugly, yet somehow appealing. This one is cut in such a way as to show most of the best part of the donor card, at least. Some are much, much worse. /75, but some could say cards like these are their own 1/1s.

Pafko Heritage I didn't have already. s-l1600.jpg

Newell is a new Dodger addition, but he has yet to crack the roster...so only a Dodger by name at this time. Newell.jpg

A few more Garvey inserts/parallels trickling in. the rose gold is /75. s-l1600-1.jpgGarv B&W.jpgs-l1600-2.jpg

Then, I saw this as a BIN at a good price. I really like Jim Gilliam and his death at an early age (as a coach in 1978) doesn't hurt his popularity among collectibles, especially autographs. Will add his autograph whenever I see a deal. Can't ever have too many.s-l1600.jpg

Monday was a big mail day...continued....
Turner 49.jpgAlavarez 50.jpgGibbons.jpg

Then a few out of uniform...Sheff is a 1/1 Archives. 93 Bowman is a clean set, despite having no real standout cards.Sheffield 1-1.jpgD White.jpgOates.jpg

Final item is a 1975 Spring Training program. I have not seen it pop up too often. The leaping Garvey image stands out and would put it on my wantlist (if he was mentioned). I do have another copy or two already, but they are hard to find unmarked. This one is autographed, but also badly water damaged. About a dozen Dodger signatures although nothing super exciting aside from Walt Alston, Tommy John and Bill Buckner, plus a Braves paper roster insert sheet (Dodgers played the Braves on the day the program was purchased apparently) signed by 5, including a very nice Carl Morton (former ROY) and Johnny Oates. Morton died young in 1983 (39) and I will always remember his 1977 Topps card as a standout action shot, his last card as he played in Atl in 76 and toiled in the minors in 1977 trying to get back, never again making it to the MLB level again.Dodger Auto program.jpg

Advertised as a team or stadium giveaway, but I question that. I am not sure of their origin, but there is a facsimile signature on them so they were made specifically for something. A pair of them signed at a bargain price was a nice add. s-l1600.jpg

True, but way overshadowed by his SP or the SC Dome from year before.

Today brings. s-l1600.png
A pair of uniform # cards 6/23 and 6/25. Both kind of cheesy, but they count.Garvey 6-23.jpgGarvey 6-25.jpg
Downs /50. Downs 50.jpg. My second copy of this one. I like it and it was cheap.

Carter /25, although sadly not a Dodger uniform card (which this set does have). G Carter 25.jpg

Waited quite a while to 1) find one that was under $10 and 2) it took forever and a day to actually get here!

I just opened my Carew Banty package. Phil, the seller, had noted a bonus card was inside. I was floored when I saw it was one of the Campy cards i had tried unsuccessfully to win. I have been buying these Banty Red cards for several years now and feel they are one of, if not the best quality custom cards out there. They seem to have picked up some decent steam, as I lose out on most I try for now. Many of the cards bring really nice final prices.

If you have never bought one and are interested in this kind of collectible, I highly recommend his stuff. Top notch product and seller! I am not just saying this because he sent me a free card. Phil has been very generous all along and I really do stand behind this product line. Give them a try.

Silver A&G and the /75 tandem. There is a red/10 on ebay now, but the guy wants $100+ for it. Sheesh, so many clueless people selling on ebay these days! Garvey silver AG.jpgGarvey Freeman 75.jpg

First one of these, /75. Don't really care for them, super thick and heavy. Kind of pointless. Garv 75 trophy.jpg

Sandy Amoros signed 8x10. Pretty much only known for his catch in the WS. Amoros10-13.jpg
