I know we have some amazing artists on this board, and after seeing some of their work, i showed it to my little brother who is 14, he was inspired to make a few himself! let him know what you think! note: these are done on computer paper with a mechanical pencil lol he is gonna get better materials and become more "official" lol

Ripken's glove hand is on backwards. If he was standing like that, his thumb would be towards his body, not on the outside.

Your brother like butt shots? (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

Good eye there. Maybe some people know more about this than I do, but I thought those were amazing..

Great job. The glove on the Ripken looks right to me. Its clearly the other side of the glove and not the thumb side that is exposed. The thumb side is resting on his leg.

The sketches are very good; tell your brother nice job! (Cal's glove looks OK to me too).

Successfully drawing faces is a talent all unto itself, and I've often heard that it's the hardest part of drawing people. As I said, the drawings are really nice but when I looked at McCutchen's face I immediately thought of Darren Lewis.

Tell him to keep working at it because he's got artistic talent (much more than I do).

nothing wrong with the glove hand.

and he drew those two because he needs to practice more on drawing faces, thats his only weakness.

everyone else, thank you for the great comments. it made him pretty proud

I thought they were pretty good.
Tell him to move his signature away from the subject a little. He has a big signature and it detracts a little from the work.
Otherwise, pretty good!

Butts are easier to draw than faces. :)

BUT, those are some really impressive sketches, well done!!
