Hey guys, it looks like my days of spending hundreds/thousands of dollars on cards are getting limited. Me and my girlfriend of 4 years are getting ready to move out it’s a bummer one way and another I'm glad were getting our own apartment. It will be nice to have the freedom to do what ever we want when we want. I just think for the first few months are going to be the hardest not cruising ebay and buying what ever I want. But I'm not quitting collecting or selling my collection, I'm just going to be on a strict budget and having to limit what I buy. I'm kind of glad it happened when it did because I'm pretty happy about where the personal collection is at this time anyway. So all in all, has anyone else went though this and also how hard is it to cut back and not spend money on cards? I think it might be rough for awhile but hopefully it gets easier with time, and hopefully I’ll be able to advance in the bank and get a better job and have more free money like before. Just wanted to share this with you guys because you guys are the ones that have help me with my collection and kept my drive for collecting alive!

Here are the apartments were moving in to there pretty nice for all thats included because i love playing golf!

Man, it's REALLLY tough to cut back. Ebay is like a candy store and you've got a sweet tooth. You just have to remember that a trip to the dentist really isn't worth it in the end, but you'll find some way to sneak some snacks in! ;)

He lives in Kansas. That's why it's so cheap. Outside of the big cities (basically Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis/St. Paul) living in the Midwest is pretty damn cheap.

You seemed to be getting a great deal on a place.

Your collection looks sweet, some of the best that have ever played. On that note, after seeing the Nick Johnson all I heard was this:

Actually, I don't know if Detroit is even an expensive place to live at this point because most everyone considers it a crap hole and doesn't want to be there.

Midwest living is rather cheap though. Even before the housing market boom and bust problems. My parents paid $90,000 for a 4 bedroom house and we're about 30 minutes north of Minneapolis in a nice suburb. Granted, new 2-3 bedroom houses in this area are $250,000+ but no one is buying them. :)

There are expensive places to live here like any other state, but on average it's easier to get a bigger and/or nicer place for much cheaper than a coastal state.

The same apartment in KC would be 2-3x more than Wichita.

For your relationship's sake I would get the 2 bathroom. If you haven't lived with your girlfriend before it will be an adjustment and the more space you have the better.

Congrats on the new place and atleast you'll have more money saved up when you do decide to start spending again.
