IndyMann- Thank you.

scotty21690- It's a nice looking one. Have a few more auto's I need to find and scan

asmsportscards-I have 4/36 of that one. I'll have to look at it again.

imac220- thanks I'll try. If the guy who won a Kaline 1/1 pays me in time I might have enough cash (maybe) to go after something to add to the collection....

mlbsalltimegreats/thenumberonemetfan It's a line. Can't tell if it's ink or if it's etched on the plate.

it's not etched, that's for sure. no way that line gets intentionally burned into a plate to print. i suppose i could ask one of the pressmen here at work, they might know...

Ok, here's what my manager (who knows a lot more about printing than I) said. Cliff's notes: "I think cards are printed on a web press. If so, the plate is seamed together and run in a continuous cylindrical fashion. So what is on the card is probably the seam in the plate."

jay1065- Thanks
thenumberonemetfan- I think they use like 4 different pictures for all the cards made from 2000 on
lonesomeagle1- That's one of my favorite cards of his. I've been trying to get some of the notation ones from time to time.
