I don't think he runs away with it but I do believe he will get it (and deserves it). I think it will be much closer than people think.

For those voting "Other", tell us who you'd pick instead.

Pujols wins, hopefully Berkman will be top 5. His power dropped off in the 2nd half but his overall #'s are still way up there with the league leaders.

Most will not agree and some will laugh, but my vote goes to Sabathia. I do not believe the Brewers would have made the playoffs it is was not for how incredible he pitched for them once he arrived.

I feel a MVP should be on a playoff team, whih is why I would not vote for Pujols

I feel the same way.

If Pujols wins, he wins, and I will be happy for him. But I will always believe an MVP shoulf come from a playoff team. I'm not going to change my beliefs just to be a homer in this once instance,

You wouldn't give it to Howard then? I mean sure the Sabathia fueled the Brewers into the playoffs but they had others carrying them down the stretch as well (Braun and Fielder).

Howard basically carried the Phillies to the NL East title by himself in September. Utley and Rollins and especially Burrell were all slumping. Hamels wasn't pitching like he did in the playoffs. I forget the exact stat but of all the HR's Howard hit in Sept., like at least 4 or 5 that were game changing and put the Phillies in the lead late. They were even bringing in lefties to face him and he was knocking them out (I specifically remember one against Mike Gonzalez that broke a tie).

Oh and he led the majors in HR and RBI. And I dont want to hear the K ratio argument either. A guy could strike out 300 times a year, but as long as he is driving in runs and making his team win, who cares?

Pujols dominates Howard in every phase of the game.

Except HRs and RBIs.

SLG? Pujols. That's a better measure of power.

And RBI's are meaningless, look at numbers with RISP as a better measure of clutch.

Well that's not true.

I would like to see Howard win it but I think Pujols will.

Also don't be surprised if Lidge sneaks in. 2 of the voters have said they gave him there first place vote.

I DO think that Howard winning over Puujy before was a travesty though.

Only reason he did was because he hit so many home runs.

Pujols should have like 4 or so MVP's already.

And if not for Barry and being robbed by Howard he would.

Pujols wins it. He had an amazing, amazing season. Anytime a player can score 100, drive in 100, walk 100, hit better than .350, slug better than .650, and have an on base % of more than .460, you had a heck of a season.

Announcement of the winner at 2 ET, according to ESPN.

I am very lucky that I get to watch Albert Pujols play almost everyday.

I don't take it for granted either.

Just wish he'd get some more help.

I with ya. I have watched every game of Pujols' career, whether in person, or on FSN. I can only imagine the year he could post with a team like Ryan Howard has around him. Scary! Pujols is something special, and we have been very spoiled in St Louis. We have had two of the true all-time greats in Stan Musial and Albert Pujols.
