I honestly think this is really cool. I like the change.

I'm pretty sure they had the other logo since like the 1950s so it has been awhile.. I think the new one looks a lot sharper. I do kinda like the "B" hats though, so if that changes...eh...but overall i think it looks cool

The Red Sox are my team but I think this is senseless and unnecessary.

Interesting change...much more plain that their old one, but I like the "vintage" look to it...they should go for a mildly darker red and cream/off white uniforms to make it look really good (definitely just my opinion).

Agree with the colored part. If the "B" is the norm and the new logo is worn on Sunday home games.... I wouldnt mind that..... but if the new logo replaces the "B"....

We're already facing power failure in many parts of central mass. Damn ice storms!

I love the new road greys.

I HATE the blue jerseys (unless they're just for BP) and I HATE the new hat logo (unless they're just for 6-year-olds).

I don't know how many people are going to throw away their old jerseys and run out to buy new ones because the patch on the sleeve is different than the new one.

If you want to talk crap about the red sox gouging fans to try and get more money out of them there are plenty of legitimate options. Start with the "red sox nation" membership card.

No, I think he has a valid point. Only 12 shopping days before Christmas, and these are unveiled? And they have some ticket-release event tomorrow for the holidays - I can see a quite a few people buying a new hat or jersey to wrap with the tickets. You knew that when they announced they weren't raising ticket prices, that they'd still get the money from fans somehow.

Don't get me started on "Red Sox Nation" membership cards. As much as I don't like the Yankees, you don't see them pulling this crap.

They have to raise money to afford Tex some how. Can't cram anymore new seats in Fenway, so this is the next step.

I suppose that's true. If there are big enough suckers to join red sox nation then I suppose there are big enough suckers to buy a new $100 jersey because the patch on the sleeve is different. I always tend to give the human race too much credit on how intelligent they are as a whole.

I actually like the new hat, too. Are they for the road uni's only?

Well, the greys have new lettering on the front, too, so it's not just a patch. I haven't seen what the names/numbers on the back look like (I wish they'd go back to no names on the back).

But if you need any proof that people WILL buy a jersey with a new patch - how many people went out and bought a new Varitek jersey with the "C" on the front? Thousands.

That'll teach you to give the human race credit...

Nobody is a sucker here its just the way of marketing today, sadly every team does it.
